Lauren & Tim’s Wedding

It’s interesting how Silver Sound DJ Paul Evans was selected for the wedding of Linda Libor and Tim Fair that took place on May 28th, 2011 at Seaview, a Dolce Resort.  As it turns out, Lauren has her own wedding photography service, Lauren Libor Photography, and was shooting at a wedding where Paul Evans was the DJ! Having enjoyed their working relationship at the reception, talks between Lauren and Paul ensued about him entertaining at her wedding reception with the lucky man, Mr. Tim Fair who was Lauren’s second shooter that day.

If you watch the second video posted below you can watch the outdoor ceremony of Lauren and Tim and all the preparations that day leading up to it. This video was actually shot, edited, and presented on the ballroom wall all the same day! Guests watched this video during dinner thanks to the talent and hard work of Andrew and Gwenyth of Lightworks Films.  The ceremony also featured a string quartet playing from the moment guests arrived til the recessional.

The first video posted below showcases DJ Paul Evans getting the dancefloor in motion with everything from the latest club hits to the classics that nobody can resist getting up for.  You’ll find there isn’t a moment where you can’t find the bride getting down on the dancefloor with her friends and family throughout the entire video.

The reception ended with a dazzling sparkler lit sendoff for Lauren and Tim for them to begin their new lives together.  Congratulations to Lauren and Tim and best of luck to Lauren with her rising photography business!

Leah & Ricardo’s Wedding

March 19th, 2011 Silver Sound DJs had the honor of giving Leah and Ricardo and their guests and unforgettable evening at The Artesano Gallery in Manayunk, PA.  Our team featured DJ Paul Evans as the DJ and master of ceremonies assisted by DJ Taz Sellers and one Will Burns.   Silver Sound was in charge of lighting and sound but the decor and food was provided by a wonderful catering company known as Feastivities who served delicious Tapas for dinner.  The ceremony was held downstairs where DJ Taz Sellers implemented his new iPad into the ceremony sound using Bluetooth to wirelessly transmit music and the mic’d officiant to dual QSC K8 speakers.

Following dinner the guests moved upstairs for the reception where they found eight LED Color Bar uplights adorning color upon the gallery artwork.  The bridal party was introduced to Europe’s ‘Final Countdown’ followed by Leah and Ricardo to ‘Love Generation by Bob Sinclair.  After their first dance as husband and wife to ‘Share My Life’ by Kem, the party went into high energy mode featuring LED Panels, a Chauvet Eclipse Laser and dual H2O water lights illuminating the dancefloor.  Our happy couple and their guests were dancing to an eclectic medley from John Legend to Disco to Hip Hop to Bachata, Merengue, Salsa to Rock to Old School to Top 40 Dance Hits.  It was non-stop movement on the dancefloor all the way until Donna Summer’s ‘Last Dance’ followed by an encore of Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time.’

It’s always a pleasure working with the Artesano Gallery staff like Ivan, the facility owner, Joiner, the facility manager, and Ashley and Danielle who manage Feastivities Catering.  We look forward to collaberating with them again soon and send our best wishes out to Leah and Ricardo as they start their new life together!

Multimedia Wedding Production

Silver Sound provides cutting edge entertainment services as featured in these pictures and 3 minute video clip of our VJ Multimedia Package.  Philadelphia Wedding DJ/VJ Paul Evans brought the multimedia wedding production to the Hotel Palomar Philadelphia.  Catering to an intimate crowd of 80 guests,  the production featured two 50-inch plasma screens that displayed a slide show of the newlyweds ceremony as well as music videos throughout the night.  Featured lighting were two H2O lights(water effect lights) on the ceiling while other LED lights washed into the crowd.  Eight matching LED color bars washed the opposite walls of the ballroom.

It was an evening filled with romance, fine dining, singing and dancing.  Our Bride, Dana, stated in a review, “To put it plainly, Paul hit it on the Mark!! We went with the VJ/DJ package and could not of been happier with how the look and sound of the night went.”  To read more about Dana’s review of VJ Paul Evans click here.  If you are interested in considering a multimedia production like this one for your wedding or any event click here to request a quote today from Silver Sound.

Teresa & Tom’s Post-Wedding Day Party

Just a few weeks ago, our very own DJ Paul Evans was the entertainment and master of ceremonies for Teresa and Tom’s post-wedding day party at The Artesano Iron Works Gallery located in Philadelphia, PA.  This is a gorgeous art gallery that is becoming just as renown for hosting special events as they are for their art exhibits.  When a client needs a specialist in Salsa music and dancing they turn to Paul Evans.  Paul is a certified Salsa dance instructor and has no problem making sure everyone gets a chance to show off their Salsa moves as you can see below.  During cocktail hour held downstairs, Silver Sound provided some cool grooves as guests were able to enjoy a slideshow of Tom and Teresa’s wedding in Costa Rica.  After cocktails, guests came up to the reception room which had a  beautiful ambiance and art adorning the walls.  Catering was done by Sage Catering.  Paul kpet everyone on their feet with a setlist consisting of a combination of the latest dance music with some Latin selections for Teresa’s family and friends.  Teresa’s review said “We loved his selection and his perceptiveness on feeling the crowds mood to play what kept them going.  Thank you Paul for making it an unforgettable night!”  For the full review from our homepage click here.

Wedding September 25, 2010

Cliff contacted Silver Sound, from the Moshulu recommended list, ten days before their wedding.  DJ Paul Evans happened to be available and, it turned out, Paul knew Titi from her Salsa dancing at Brasils Nightclub in Old City, Philadelphia.  Paul had a few days to prepare an eclectic mixture of music from Nigeria, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti and Columbia.  Paul came with an assistant and three separate sound setups, with Ceremony on the upper Deck, Cocktails on the Mid Deck and the Reception in the Orchid room.  The weather for the Ceremony was perfect with blue skies and a nice breeze.  A lapel wireless mic was provided for the Officiant who remarked later, how clear her words were.  Cliff chose some special processional music and Titi walked down the aisle to an exact moment at the peak of a dramatic opera piece by Lucianno Pavarotti.  Titi and Cliff prepared special sentimental words for each other with the Delaware and Ben Franklin bridge as a backdrop.  During cocktails the Salsa tracks had some guests trying out their dance moves, other styles played were Calypso, Bossanova, Cha Cha and other flavorful genres.  During the reception our couple danced up a storm, the Nigerian and other fast moving African tracks along with Merengue and Salsa carried the day.  Cliff said “Ten Days or Ten weeks to get ready, you know what you’re doing.  I’m not sure what we would have done without you.”  Special thanks came via Email and Facebook from Titi where Paul posted over 100 pictures taken by his assistant.  Our couple is back in the Boston area, starting their lives together as husband and wife, where Dr. Titi Alabi has a family practice in Salem, MA.

Wedding June 25, 2010

The bride of this wedding professed that DJ Paul Evans “(made) our reception a true party and ultimately an evening (her new husband) and (she) will never forget.”  This was mainly due to maintaining a full dancefloor of guests dancing all night, vibrant splashes of LED uplighting all around the room, well-versed speaking on the microphone, and as always professionalism.  Professionalism that spanned  from the first day of planning the wedding until after the wedding where Paul sent the clients his own personal snapshots of their reception.  All the elements to make an unforgettable evening.
